Here are screenshots of the files I am looking at from Apple's Boot Camp support software. In fact, forcing the Apple driver to install on the test Windows 10 computer results in it not even detecting the Magic Trackpad as an input device at all, and it won't let me remove the device either. The program gives an error "not designed for this computer" and quits.Ģ) I drilled down into the downloaded Support file folder and found a variety of drivers and driver installation packages, but manually installing those (on a separate Windows 10 computer that I am using for testing) has not worked. I have a Mac and downloaded the Windows Boot Camp Support software, because I know on Boot Camp, Apple's software *does* get the Magic Trackpad 2 working on a Windows installation.ġ) You can't install the whole Boot Camp installer on a non-Mac. I know there is third-party software out there that is safe and works fine that'll make the trackpad work on Windows, but my company's IT security team is reluctant to have any third-party software installed on a work machine. I'm trying to use my Apple Magic Trackpad 2 with my Windows 10 work computer.
